Holocaust movie review

The movie life beautiful is a depressing story about a holocaust survivor. The movie is a historical fiction tale but under realistic circumstances. The dad was originally the main character to establish personality but at the end it was revealed that the child was retelling the story in the holocaust. The beginning sets up the beginning sets up the personality while middle and end shows the conflict. Upon first entering they did a good job contrasting the dads personality with longer lasting survivors. One of the main characters friends has returned has returned as a nazi but has gone crazy and they have to change plan making the movie end the way it did. The movies representation of the holocaust is very realistic in showing the character development.
The movie connects widely with what I have learned. It shows what a ghetto would be like and how miserable and soul crushing it is. This movie shows how hard it was to keep high spirits in the face of such adversity. It as well shows how many casualties there were. They also show how normal and otherwise happy people were affected by the nazis. The movie shows how serious the nazis were about their job was to them.
This movie has two different parts and the first half gets you attached and fond of the characters. It also shows how they were just normal people. While the second part focuses on what it is like to be trapped and suffer in a ghetto. Both of these have completely different themes as one shows a happy life while the other shows misery. While both of these are very different it brings back an overly happy person making even the ghetto.
The movie is full of many happy moments but there are two that stick out to me. The first one   is when the man first enters the ghetto and claims to speak German to sell a lie to his kid. The lie is not bad because it keeps his kid happy throughout the ghetto. This really shows how much he loves his kid because he is willing to die before his kid dies and suffers. Another happy moment is when the dad mocks the soldier in front of his kid. This is happy because it shows how even in the darkest of times there can be joy. Because the dad knew he would die he tried to keep his kid happy and with good memories.
