the gift

A very special gift that I have once received was my second bike. This was special to me because my first bike was a kids bike with training wheels and after I learned how to ride it was a big moment. The way I got it was as well special because it was a tiny box and when I opened it there was my moms keys (the car I drove in). I opened her trunk like she said and there was my dads truck keys. I opened the trunk nad there it was in all of it's glory. This was also special to me because I have h.           ad it since I was around 6 years old and have only recently replaced from rust (I still have it). So I have had this bike for around 7 years. This bike was a green mongoose with pegs, no gears, and hand brakes (which was all very new). So for all of these reasons this why this gift meant a lot to me.

My favorite quote is "if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will spend its whole life believing that it is stupid" -Albert Einstein. You have probably heard of this quote from school because it is pretty popular. I have heard this many times and until I saw this video called "I just sued the school system" where it made me relate to it more. This quote is my favorite because it shows how judgmental comments can really affect people in way over something they might not care about, can't or try and just can't. This quote relates to me because I am not interested in sports but feel a little left out because other people are talking about sports and really good at it and at times I am a bit jealous. But one thing about me I feel it is just and more important to help others in worst or even better situations. Another way I interpret this quote is maybe it could be your opinion on a topic. If i had to pick a second it would have to be "the past is history, the future is a mystery, but right now is a gift, that is why we call it the present" -Bill Keane because is shows in time the only thing you can change for certain is the present and to do what you can with it for it will never go away. So all that is my favorite quote because of its affect on the way you look at someone's skill set.

Grateful

As thanksgiving is approaching it is right to tell what I am thankful for. I am grateful for many things.            Because I have things that others do. As does everybody even if they don't know it. One thing I am greatful for is the ability to have freedom. Another is to have food, a bed, and other things that are needed to survive. I am especially grateful for the privileges that some other people don't have. Such as a big house, devices, education, etc. With all of these gifts I believe it is not only important to be great full but humble as well. Which is also to not brag about anything I find especially precious in my life. I feel great fuel that I have some friends because with our them my life would much different and more bitter. So in conclusion I feel great ful for the things is need to survive, friends, things I find special, and things that most people do not own. As well as feeling humbled by these things.

A walk in wolf wood

So recently I have finished a book entitled a walk in wolf wood. The book was about these children who are waiting on a road for there parents outside of a forest. They go to a hut where they find a wolf inside that is easily frightened away. A man lived in the hut and gave some explanations. The man was a werewolf and they had to break the curse using an amulet so he gave the 2 kids to convince the his friend to help him. This book is fiction, but it feels like a medieval story. The book was generally good and if you are into medieval fiction you would enjoy this book. It is 188 pages long. I thought that part of it is confusing but if you take what you learned that is more obvious you will understand.

Book

The title of this book is beast keeper. This novel is written by Cat Hellison. In the story a girl named Sarah lives in a city and continuously moves, living with her mom and dad. One night in an argument her mother leaves. Her dad begins to not take care of himself, her, or the house. He eventually gives her to her thought to be dead grandma. She learns of a curse that whenever a family member falls in love they become a beast. Her grandmothers sister who cursed the family comes because Allen (the boy she fell in love with) summoned her by sacrificed her mom who is a bird. She takes Allen to his cottage where they both live for an unknown amount of time due to the magical fores called the within. When her grandmothers sister returns gives her powers to Allen, dies, and ALlen lifts the curse. Now Sarah lives the rest of her life with magic and her family.
In the story Sarah says "rules are meant to be broken." This helps the theme of determination because she believes she can break the curse so badly she believes in that statement. On page 155 Sarah states "Then that settles it. I have to take my chances." This shows her determination because Allen just said that she would probably die but she wants to try anyway.

My Trip

Over summer break for my birthday I was taken for an overnight at mt Olympus with a bunch of my friends. We spent both days going on rides and at night me and my friends slept in a very big tent. My 2 favorite activities were the bumper cars and 12 feet high wave pool. I brought with me 4 friends in my school and my troop at the same time. I believe that this trip was one that I will remember for a long time. I personally enjoyed many of the rides but what scares me is when other people are scared and big lines. So when I saw the demon drop I wanted to go but then I saw the line and the bit of nervousness just became worst and I chickened out.
